Ten year old Billy sat on one of the horses of a merry go round. A local amusement park where that happened to be a favorite ride by a lot of kids. Most of the horses only sat one, but there were a few that had room for two. The ride started as the music played and the horses bobbed up and down. An attendant was present on the ride walking around ensuring the kids safety. Billy noticed a girl crying who was standing outside waiting to get on the ride, but didn't make it. He told the attendant that his horse had room for two which the attendant overlooked before starting the carousel. The man stopped the ride and took the little nine year old up on the platform. He picked her up and placed her on the horse that Billy sat. The ride continued as she puts her arms around his waist and said "thank you for thinking of me. My name is Betty." After the ride was over both sets of parents talked to each other as this kind of deed was noticed and appreciated. This event was where it all started but certainly did not end as we shall see why. Twenty five years later, Billy was now thirty five years old. He also lived in a different city from where he grew up in. However he missed the old neighborhood and decided to go back there for a visit. Fond childhood memories had him drive to a local amusement park his parents used to take him to. It was still there, his favorite ride. The attendant thought that it was full enough to start the carousel. Billy didn't make it on the ride. A lady noticed a depressed face outside and told the attendant there was room on the back of her horse. He stopped the ride as he got on and sat behind Betty. Billy put his arms around her waist and smiled. They talked as the horses bobbed up and down and the music played. Maybe we go back to where we grew up as kids. Then a favorite ride is reserved for us. Most likely for the rest our lives together...Case in point in a short love story about Billy and Betty and seating for two.......
