Kyleigh loves baking, and a batch of Christmas cookies sounded like a perfect idea with Daddy while Mommy worked late in the office. When I got home, I just caught the tail-end of it. Daddy yelled, "No! Don't come into the kitchen yet!" There was flour all over the counter!
Kyleigh helped rolling the dough, adding the flour, and cutting the cookies. I also joined in the end, and shaped a cat's face with the last remaining dough. Kyleigh show-cased the results.
Her favorite piece was the cat, of course.
I got the set of cutters (star, diamond, round, and leaf) as a treat for myself from Williams Sonoma a few Christmases ago. Even though I don't cook or bake, I love kitchen gadgets. I am glad they were put to good use.
